I Trip: Orientation Tour of Warsaw


Łazienki Park
You take a walk in the most beautiful park in Warsaw with its Palace on the Water the summer residence of the last King of Poland, Stanisław August Poniatowski.

The Royal Route
You see the aristocratic residences, famous monuments and churches including the Holy Cross Church with urn containing the heart of Fryderyk Chopin as well as Presidential Palace and other governmental buildings.

The Old Town with the Royal Castle with its Square
You get the chance to see King Sigismund\’s III Column – the first secular monument in Poland, Royal Castle and defense wall system. You visit St. John\’s Cathedral a witness of the most important events in the history of Poland.

The Old Market Square with the statue of Warsaw Mermaid and full of restaurants, cafeterias, galleries.
Warsaw’s New Town with the Barbican, the house of Madame Curie and the Monument of the Warsaw Uprising1944.

The former Jewish Ghetto area with its Monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, Umschlagplatz and Miła 18 Str with the bunker where Mordehaj Anielewicz, the leader of the Ghetto Uprising, committed suicide.

Other important places of interest to be visited:
Marshal Joseph Piłsudski Sq. with the Tomb of Unknown Solider and Saxon Garden, The Palace of Culture and Science and the socrealist part of the city with MDM Square.

Sweet stop for a cake during walk through the Old Town, you will have a chance to try pączki – deep fried donuts filled with jam or other sweet filling. A traditional filling is rose bud marmalade. They are covered with sugar icing and/or fried orange zest.

II Trip: Wilanów Palace and Park visit

The Polish Versailles. It is a wonderful baroque palace and a place of great beauty, both inside and outside. One will have the opportunity to stroll through the beautiful garden and park. Villa Nova was established in XVII and served as the royal summer residence of King Jan III Sobieski, the famous conqueror of the Turks at the battle of Vienna in 1683. He was the most colourful person of the 17th Century Poland, a skilful army leader, accomplished diplomat and author of beautiful love letters written to Marie Cassimere, his wife.

III Trip Mazovian Escapade (Nieborów – Żelazowa Wola)


80 km to the west of Warsaw and a few kilometers from Łowicz is one of the prettiest localities in Mazovia – Nieborów. It’s pride is the historic Baroque palace-park complex, now museum of interior decoration surrounded by a beautiful park.

Żelazowa Wola, a village on the Utrata river and visit a charming old Polish manor, the birthplace of the composer F. Chopin. The house where Chopin was born is now a museum surrounded by a large garden. The museum has been reconstructed in very modern style. New, multifunctional buildings, that are located in the beautiful park, host multimedia halls, stores, café and restaurants. Modern architecture, that is open to the park, harmonizes with landscape and at the same time allows having a nice time even in case of a bad weather.

Afterwards, Polish style lunch in Przepis na kompot Restaurant. Przepis na kompot restaurant initiates Magda Gessler’s new idea, a concept of a Polish table which shows that Polish cuisine is a refined collection of diverse cultural impacts. The restaurant serve Polish cuisine dishes prepared with tasty and generous organic products. You can try here such specialities as homemade chicken broth; Polish style chicken, butter baked; cabbage leaves stuffed with meat in light tomato sauce; pancakes with apple, sugar and cinnamon.
